How to Request a
Repeat Prescription
Some illnesses require continuous
medication but this will need to be reviewed regularly.
Your prescription will be issued in between review dates
but only if you have an up-to-date Yellow Repeat
Prescription Card.
To order a repeat prescription, bring (or post, with
SAE) your Yellow Card to reception with a clear note
stating which item (s) you need.
If you’re requesting Warfarin or Methotrexate, please
also let us have your Drug Monitoring Card. We encourage
patients on regular medication to use the Repeat
Dispensing Scheme, which you may find more convenient;
please ask your doctor about this or ask for a leaflet
at reception.
Telephone requests for repeat prescriptions are not
accepted because of the risks involved.
Please allow 48 hours (2 working days) to prepare your
prescription.
