HPV Vaccination

Over the next few months, the Practice is inviting all girls in school year 8 (born between 1.9.95 and 31.8.96) and year 13 (born between 1.9.90 and 31.8.91) to have the new HPV vaccine.

Please refer to www.immunisation.nhs.uk/Vaccines/HPV for further information, including details of the national timetable for offering the vaccination to girls of other ages.

MMR Vaccination

The Practice is running a catch-up programme to ensure all children aged 5 to 18 are fully covered for measles, mumps and rubella. Over the past decade, there has been low uptake of the MMR vaccine, resulting in many children not being fully protected against these diseases. We are now seeing a rise in the number of measles cases nationally, especially in London. Two doses of MMR are needed. If your child has not received the recommended number of immunisations, please call reception to make an appointment as soon as possible.
